Terms and Conditions

1. Scope of Service

ByMarielTan provides mentorship and training services to registered healthcare professionals, including (but not limited to) nurses, doctors, and students pursuing a career in aesthetics. These services include:

1:1 Practical Training (In-Person)

Virtual Mentorship (Online)

Clinic Shadow Day (Observation Only)

By booking any of these services, the participant agrees to all terms outlined below.

2. Eligibility

Participants must:

Hold current AHPRA registration or be an enrolled student in a recognised healthcare program.

Provide accurate personal and professional information at the time of booking.

Consent to abide by the training structure and safety requirements.

3. Payment, Refund & Cancellation Policy

Booking & Deposit:

A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required to secure your training or mentorship date.

The remaining balance is due 14 days prior to the scheduled training (unless otherwise agreed in writing).

Accepted payment methods: Credit/Debit Card, Bank Transfer, Afterpay (min $500), or ZipPay (min $500).

Cancellations:

Minimum 7 days’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling.

If you provide at least 7 days’ notice, your deposit may be transferred once to another available date within the next 3 months (subject to availability).

Less than 7 days’ notice or failure to attend your training will result in forfeiture of the full payment.

Refunds:

Refunds are not provided for change of mind or if you fail to attend.

Refunds may be considered for medical reasons with a valid medical certificate and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

This does not exclude your rights under Australian Consumer Law in the event of a major problem with the service.

4. Payment Defaults

In cases where payment is overdue, the balance must be paid within 14 days of the scheduled training date.

A $200 late fee may be added to overdue payments.

ByMarielTan reserves the right to initiate legal recovery proceedings, and all legal fees and administrative costs will be added to the total amount owed.

5. Participation, Conduct & Confidentiality

Participants are expected to behave professionally and respectfully at all times.

Recording of training sessions is not permitted unless prior written consent is obtained.

All client, model, or patient information observed during practical or shadow sessions is confidential. Breach of confidentiality may result in immediate termination of the session without refund.

For 1:1 practical training, models will either be provided or arranged by the trainee, depending on the program. Clear instructions will be provided in advance.

6. Learning Outcomes

All training is educational in nature and intended to enhance the skills of qualified professionals.

Completion of training does not guarantee competency or certification, and it is the participant’s responsibility to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in their state or territory.

ByMarielTan is not liable for how the participant applies learned techniques in their own practice.

7. Liability & Acknowledgement

By participating in any training or mentorship, you acknowledge that:

You assume full responsibility for your own professional practice.

You release Mariel Tan and Body Contour Studio from liability related to the application of training in your own clinic or business.

You understand this training is educational only and does not replace formal certification, licensing, or medical/legal advice.

8. Intellectual Property

All training materials, course content, and presentation formats remain the intellectual property of ByMarielTan.

Reproduction, sharing, or distribution of training materials is not permitted without written consent.

9. Agreement

By booking or attending training, you confirm that:

You have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.

You agree to comply with all terms set out above.
